Nimali Sunethra Perera living in Ellakkala in the Gampaha district has been sewing ladies foundation garments as a small-scale entrepreneur for over a decade. She has learnt the operations and trade as a young girl from her own father. IDEAS supported Nimali with a financial grant cum loan in 2021 to help her purchase essential cloth and accessories to enhance her stock of finished products. This enabled her to reach out to a larger and different segment of customers and also improve her customer base in several areas including far-off Trincomalee and Matara.
