Nimali Sunethra Perera living in Ellakkala in the Gampaha district has been sewing ladies foundation garments as a small-scale entrepreneur for over a decade. She has learnt the operations and trade as a young girl from her own father. I/D/E/A/S supported Nimali with a financial grant cum loan in 2021 to help her purchase essential cloth and accessories to enhance her stock of finished products. This enabled her to reach out to a larger and different segment of customers and also improve her customer base in several areas including far-off Trincomalee and Matara.

This Anthurium plant nursery is owned and maintained by Mahinda Sarath Kumara in Pallegama, Kegalle. He has been growing several different varieties of this plant. Anthurium flowers are in much demand for floral decorations at many local functions.
